Larry Janesky, Owner

Larry Janesky

Larry Janesky has spent his career in basement waterproofing, foundation repair, and related home service businesses. Starting in 1987, he has become a well-respected authority on moisture control, humidity, crawl space encapsulation (a term he coined), and home energy conservation. He is the owner of over 25 patented solutions.

As founder of Basement Systems, Inc. and co-founder of Dr. Energy Saver, Inc., Total Basement Finishing Systems, Inc., and Supportworks, Inc., he has helped train and build networks of contractors across the United States and Canada. Larry provides guidance and directs the overall strategy for companies he owns or co-owns, training local leaders to oversee day-to-day operations and trusting teams to execute and deliver superior service to their customers.

He is very proud of what Cleveland Basement Systems can do for homeowners who have problems with their basements, crawl spaces, and foundations. Larry is an Eagle Scout, father of three, and desert motorcycle racer.

Mike Depasquale & Mary Meadows

Mike and Mary started their first business, Primary Home Improvements in 2021. Driven by the desire to provide reliable home improvement services in their community, the Cleveland natives and high school sweethearts decided to expand their services. The husband and wife duo partnered with Larry Janesky to open Cleveland Basement Systems and provide the Greater Cleveland area with dependable waterproofing and structural repair solutions.

Mike has worked in the home improvement industry since the age of 18. He has held various roles, including installer, sales rep, sales manager, general manager, and now co-owner of Primary Home Improvements and Cleveland Basement Systems. His current role overseeing production and sales is a great fit for his vast work experience, mechanical abilities, and construction knowledge.

Mary went back to school to finish her Bachelor's degree in her late twenties and discovered that after working in the business world for over 10 years, she really cared about topics like what makes an effective leader/business owner and how to build a positive company culture. She took that passion and continued her education, graduating with her MBA from Berea's Baldwin Wallace University in 2021.

In her role as co-owner, Mary oversees all the background "business stuff" that goes into running an organization. She enjoys analyzing data while Mike prefers to get out on site with the installers and sales team. Their respective skill sets allow for a balanced approach that has led to growth and success in their business endeavors.

Mike and Mary live in North Ridgeville with their daughter and what they lovingly refer to as the "dog farm." After 18 years of knowing each other and different life journeys, they finally tied the knot in 2023.
