CleanSpace Crawlspace Encapsulation in Parma, OH
Challenge
This customer first called in wanting her crawlspace insulated but she truly didn't know the state of the area. The inspector went down into the crawlspace and found that not only did the old insulation and wall covering fall down, but moisture had gotten in and there were signs of damage. The Cleveland Basement System inspector educated the homeowner and made sure she understood why waterproofing her crawlspace would be a great investment for the future health of her and the home.
Solution
When the install day came around, there was a detailed plan of how this customer's project would play out. Installers worked on putting in 2 Basement System products to transform the wet, cold space into a dry and insulated one. First, they cleared out the old wall covering and batt insulation that fell down and disintegrated. Then, they installed SilverGlo which is a graphite-infused insulation that can reflect up to 97% of radiant heat back into the space. This product is also moisture and mold resistant with an 11 R-value rating so it can optimize the space and protect the rest of the home from humidity.
After the SilverGlo was put in, the installers vacuumed and diligently cleaned the floor of the crawlspace. This prepared the space to be encapsulated with the CleanSpace crawlspace system. The installers got started on securing CleanSpace on the crawlspace walls and floors. The 20 mil vapor barrier is tear and puncture resistant and kills any mold that may try to grow. CleanSpace encapsulation system and SilverGlo work together to upgrade a dirty space into a clean and energy-efficient area.
Attention to detail at every step, from the initial call to the install, is why homeowners trust Cleveland Basement Systems to waterproof their homes!
