This homeowner in South Euclid, OH was concerned about the state of his basement foundation. He noticed stair-step cracks along the middle of the walls as well as bowing cinder blocks. Solution

On the day of the project, the crew began by drilling holes for the earth anchors. These holes were mapped out to find the optimized spots for the GeoLock anchors to be placed. After this, installers prepared the foundation wall by drilling small holes that corresponded with the earth anchor locations. Steel anchor rods were then driven and extended all the way into the earth anchor holes. The threaded end of each steel rod meets the center of the earth anchor and is permanently attached by installers once connected. The installers then mounted the channel anchor on the inside surface of the foundation wall. Each channel anchor is secured to the floor with heavy duty bolts. GeoLock can be tightened over time to straighten the wall and completely stops them from moving inward. Additionally, GeoLock has rust-resistant zinc coating that guarantees the anchor system will not weaken or rust. Lastly, as part of the cleanup process, the crew made sure to return all excavated dirt back into the holes and evened out the ground.
